I want to start on a custom built pc and i really like this pc case http://www.xoxide.com/clearacatxca.html but im not sure if it will be a tough job putting together. I heard putting acrylic cases together can get tough,messy with glue,and the case can get scratched easily. Is this true, and if so is it worth getting?Is it hard to put together a acrylic pc case?
The case you are listing does not use glue. So you do not have to worry about it being messy.
What I will say is that using the White Gloves they provide in the box is essential when handling ANY of the acrylic.
I have assembled 3 different rigs with that case. I am not a huge fan of it, but it looks good when done.
I made the mistake my first time of not using the gloves. I told myself ';I have really dry hands, it does not even leave marks when I hold it.';
So I left the gloves and assembled the case and computer. It looked great and I thought ';who needs the gloves?';
Then about a week later, the dust blowing around inside the case started to stick to the oils left by my hands. There were a bunch of dusty fingerprints inside the case.
Needless to say I had to completely disassemble the thing, clean it and reassemble with the gloves on.
Not fun.
